Cutting Corners Because Of Spring Fever

Cutting Corners Because Of Spring Fever

This month is going to be a challenge. I only want to spend a total of thirty five dollars on all the groceries and household supplies for this month.  It has to include cat food for my cats and the strays that live here and paper supplies.
The reason for limiting my budget to this amount is simple It is spring right ahead and I have spring fever and it is hitting me hard!
I want and need to spend what I call discretionary funds on other things rather than food and supplies.
In fact I am already doing spring cleaning and reorganizing my home and I have noticed I need a couple of filing cabinets to finish the organization I am trying to do. I have a lot of paper work to account for with my on line sales and research I do for companies. I need to get all the office supplies out of the closet and into an organized space.
Plus I also want to spruce up my garden. I need mulch hanging plants and I want some Highland Park Lilacs. All these wants and needs take money and because I am on such a limited budget I will have to cut corners somewhere and this month it’s going to be on groceries.
Believe it or not it is possible to do if I am very careful.
I have mentioned several times in my articles that I try to put away extra meals to enjoy at a later date and this month and this month will be that later date.
These meals I have put away in the freezer will be used this month and the few supplies I will buy will fill in the rest.
I will have to be creative but that can be fun.
I hope to visit Rochester in May to get my lilacs and see some friends and family.
While I am there I want to be able to visit the deli I buy from on line and pick up my bbq sauce and hot dogs. That will save me a lot of money in shipping costs and that makes sense to me.
I am looking forward to the next couple of months that yes will be expense filled but it should be filled with accomplishing things I want to do and seeing people I love.
As far as I am concerned there is nothing better than that.
I hope your spring will be as happy and satisfying as I am sure mine will be this year.
