Time to restock the pantry fortunately most of what you need for everyday use can be bought at the Dollar Tree.
To help you with this I am going to show you some of the things I believe you need to keep on hand to make almost any meal at a good price as long as you stock your pantry with some of these items as I have done.
I hope this helps anyone that wants to start saving money and maybe even some people who have no clue what they should keep on hand:

regular sugar is a given I don't think I have to explain this one.

remember once you open brown sugar put the whole box in a zip bag so it does not get hard. Brown sugar can turn into a rock if air gets to it!

If you can afford only vinegar buy white it has great variety.

If you can afford it please think about getting these as well. At least the Balsamic.

yes of course for chili but also to spice up meats and sauces. You will use this more than you think.

Wondra. If you like to make your own gravy's and white sauces this will make your life easier when you make the rues.

What can I say? We all use salt and this one is at least is OK to use.

I consider Garlic salt important to my pantry. I make garlic bread ribs sauce etc.

of course vanilla

Italian seasonings great to have on hand and it will save you money to get this instead of all the spices it takes to make up what is in this one jar.

I use this one so often! I use chopped dried onions any where from a omelet to sauces and soups. I always have this one on hand.

This is one of the best dry rubs I have ever used.
Blazin' Blends Memphis Style Barbecue Seasoning, 9 oz.

of course olive oil!

Canola Oil is better for you than vegetable oil and is less expensive to use than Olive Oil. So I suggest both if possible. I know these are both available at the Dollar Tree.

Don't cheap out on this item. Franks Red Hot is the best!

No I am not kidding. This has so many day to day spices in it that I keep it next to my stove for everyday use. It has garlic onion paprika red and black pepper.

I don't have to say a word about this one!

or this!

Sweet Relish is a given as well but to take this a little further its great in all the summer salads and tuna salad. Give it a try if you haven't yet.

This BBQ sauce is decent if you need something in a hurry.

This one is good. I think its good to keep some salad dressing on hand for when you run out of your favorites.

Inexpensive sauce is always a good filler on days you just don't have time to make homemade.

I keep at least four cans on hand. So many recipes call for tomatoes in some form or another and I find that diced tomatoes is a good one that will span almost any recipe.

a couple of cans of cream soup like the tomatoes is a good thing to have on hand and you will find that you will use this more than you believe you will right now.

I buy about ten cans at a time. I like Aldies better believe it or not. It only costs about fifty cents a can and I really like it.
Tuna is always a good budget stretcher and last minute addition to any dinner when funds are short you can always add a can of cream soup to som pasta top with bread crumbs etc and you have dinner!

Your scratching your head right? Think about it. Summer is coming and we will have lots of fresh veggies. Lawyer with veggies and white sauce and its a wonderful dinner!
Don't for get to have pasta for macaroni salad and pasta salad on hand and that leads to the next item.

Mayo of course!

I used the dollar store variety because I use it so much! Perfect for gravy steak seasonings soups of course and more!

Trail mix is always in my pantry. I love it in toss salad and sometimes I want something sweet and make Bisquick scones. It lasts forever and always tastes good!

of course. So many uses from the scones to pot pie and biscuits!

I keep this on hand for deserts I like the butterscotch but get what you like. Its got a good takes for an affordable item.

Yes its always good to have crackers on hand for snacks or appetizers
I realize this is my personal list and you will need to add additional items that you use all the time.
But I hope this is a good start for everyone and that you will consider setting up a pantry that will save you money and make your life easier by having things like this on hand.
