Andouille Sausage

Andouille Sausage

Earlier today I said I was going to make Tuna Helper. That’s something I never tried but I was tired after a long day and still had a left over headache from this morning so something simpler would have to do. That was when I thought about some of the sausage I bought when I went to Wal-Mart a few weeks ago and decided to give one of these different sausages a try.
Right now I am sitting on my porch grilling some Andouille
Sausage. If you’re not familiar with what it is I looked it up on Wikipedia so I would give you the right definition since it’s new to me as well.
Andouille (/ɑːnˈdwiː/ahn-dwee; French pronunciation: [ɑ̃duj]) is defined as a coarse-grained smoked sausage made using pork, pepper, onions, wine, and seasonings.[1] Andouille is French in origin, and was later brought to the United Statesthrough Louisiana by French immigrants. In the United States,
So I guess I am still on my French theme as far as food is concerned.
Once I knew what was in the sausage I cut up some peppers and onions and threw in some mushrooms to go along with the sausage.
When I went out to put the sausage and vegetable on the grill someone had left me some home grown tomatoes. Needless to say I will cut up a nice big tomato and put some blue cheese on it for my side dish.
I can tell you it smells great out here and I am driving my neighbors crazy with the scent coming from my front porch! Bonus all the away around lol.
Ok give me a second and I will cut a small piece of the sausage before I take it in the house so I can tell you if it was worth the purchase.
Yup it’s a winner! Then why wouldn’t I like something made with wine!
Give it a try in face give some of the other sausage that are new to you a try. I am not telling you to become a foodie just expand your horizons on food you already know you like.
Well it is time for me to have dinner. I hope you will enjoy yours as much as I will enjoy mine.
