A Yummy Steak Dinner On A Cold Fall Evening

A Yummy Steak Dinner On A Cold Fall Evening

Yum! Tonight I am making a great meal.
My mouth is salivating thinking about it.
Here is the line up and you tell me if this isn’t a great meal!
Cube Steak
Red wine
Mushrooms
Onions
Beef and onion gravy
Garlic bread
Garden fresh Cucumbers
Peas
Cottage cheese
Baked potato

Directions
Just make it!
Just kidding. Let’s get started. First put a nice big potato in a sealed plastic bag and then put in microwave for four minutes.
The reason we do this is to partially cook the bake potato to save time when you put it in the oven so it bakes as fast as the garlic bread.
The steak will just cook on top of the store in my cast iron frying pan.
I will start it in a little olive oil and butter. After the steak is almost done I will remove the steak from the pan and add the onions and mushrooms after I deglaze the pan with red wine
After the onion and mushrooms are softened and cooking away I will add the onion soup and a little bit of wondra and after the flour is mixed in and not lumpy I will add water to make the gravy. Once this is done I will add the steak back to the pan and reduce the heat to simmer.
Then it’s time to make the garlic bread and bake the potato.
The oven will be already heated to 400 degrees.
It should not take more than ten or fifteen minutes to finish baking the potato and garlic bread. Make sure mid way through you turn the bread over so it’s browned and toasted on both sides.
Dinner will be ready to serve  as soon as you take the potato and garlic bread out of the oven.
I like the other items mention as side dishes but a nice green salad would work well too.
I am also adding two small King Hawaiian Dinner Rolls. I know I shouldn't but I love these rolls and they are perfect for this dinner so I will.
This is a great meal on a chilly day and the oven  as a side benefit will make the kitchen nice and cozy warm.
Pour yourself a glass of red wine and enjoy this delectable steak dinner!
