Ham Salad With Cream Cheese Stuffed Tomato
Yesterday was Labor Day
and to me it’s the last horary of summer so I made a hamburger with bacon and cheddar
cheese for dinner.
While I was cooking the
hamburger I put a small ham steak on the grill to have today's dinner.
Today when I was figuring
out what I wanted for dinner I decided to fix a stuffed tomato, with cottage
cheese topped with onions, and cucumbers on the side.
Next I needed to find a recipe
for ham salad that was different and hopefully use up something else in my
refrigerator.
I checked the
refrigerator to see what I could use and came up with an onion and cream
cheese. I decided I would use these two things and add some mayonnaise to make my salad and it turned out very well.
First I ground up the
ham then the onions.
I let the cream cheese
soften and then mixed it all together with two teaspoons of mayonnaise.
Tonight I will stuff the
tomato and have the cottage cheese and cucumber on the side.
Here is the recipe.
Ham Salad With Cream Cheese
1 small ham steak
½ onion
3 oz cream cheese.
1 large tomato
Directions
Mix together and
refrigerate until ready to use.
This turned out well and
the combination was rich and full of flavor.
Give it a try I think
you will enjoy it as well.
