Sliced Steak & Pommes Frites From Another Mystery.

Last night I finished another book this one was called “Dead Files” and of course as in most books there were restaurants and dinners served.

There were several in this book to chose from  but I chose a meal prepared at Mimosas in Los Angeles, CA. The restaurant is out of business now but it did exist.

The people in the scene that took place at this restaurant ordered sliced steak and pommes frites an apparent favorite at this eatery.

Now in case no one knows what pommes frites are it’s simply a fancy term for French Fries.

So tonight let’s do homage to this book and restaurant and make a simple steak with French fries.

I usually make my own fries if I want them. I cut up raw potatoes and slice them into French fries. If I don’t feel like making them I stop at KFC for their outstanding potato wedges. If you never have had them do try them they are great!

The steak will be simple too. I will put it out on my grill seasoned with steak seasoning I bought at the dollar store and some fresh ground sea salt.

That will be dinner simple and good served with a glass of red wine.

Now it cannot get any easier than that!
