4 Chicken Legs 5 Meals&  Brooks BBQ!

The other day I  went grocery shopping and decided to stop at Aldies for some lemon juice and chicken legs.
I buy the legs there at Aldies because of the price which is only two dollars and fifty cents and the huge bag you get for that price. Plus the legs are big as well.
I wanted the chicken to make some chicken soup for lunches.
I did have chicken at home but I prefer dark meat when I make soup. It’s much richer in taste than white meat is.
Once I got home I got out my trusty crock pot and cut up some vegetables, added four chicken legs, some water, and spices and got the soup started.
When the soup was done I took the chicken legs out of the soup and placed them on a plate to use for another meal then scooped into three Styrofoam cups enough soup for three lunches. I still had soup left after that in the crock pot so I added some pasta and let that cook for another couple of hours to make chicken flavored pasta for another meal.
I am doing great making meals stretch with this chicken because so far with just four legs I have made four meals and I have not yet used the legs yet.
Today I am going to have the chicken legs for dinner.
I marinated them over night in Brooks BBQ sauce.
Now for those of you who do not live in this area Brooks BBQ is the company that does all the charity cookouts for churches, schools, fire departments etc.
When you are driving down the street when one of these events are going  on the smell of this sauce on pork and chicken makes you seriously salivate! But by now you know I don’t waste money and buying the chicken or pork at one of these events is very expensive and I never stop to buy anything. That doesn’t mean I don’t want any it just means I am not about to spend the money to get some of what this company is selling at the time.
The other day when I was in my favorite boutique style grocery store I spotted the Original Brooks BBQ sauce and splurged on the purchase. I don’t usually spend four dollars on a sauce but as I said this was my splurge.
Later today I will put the marinated legs out on the grill to brown up and I know without a doubt I will be driving my neighbors crazy with the smell of them cooking!
I will keep dinner simple tonight because it will be about the Brooks BBQ on the chicken legs. I think all I will add is a  simple toss salad  on the side that should do the trick and I know I will enjoy every minute of this dinner!
Here is an update. The chicken was great! Its a different sauce brown sugar, mustard, molasses, and more.
