Buffalo Chicken & Ravioli Stove Top Lasagna
Today I decided would be
a good day for chicken. I knew whatever I made had to be easy and fast.
I also knew I wanted to
use my rib and wing sauce I had bought in Wegmans last week.
I began to search the
web for ideas and decided that Buffalo Chicken would fit the bill.
When I looked up the
recipe it called for way too much work and would be too expensive to make.
It was then I decided to
develop my own recipe from the ideas I got from the recipes that appealed to
me.
I decided to do the following
and it only took a total of ten minutes from prep to cleanup.
Here is the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 precooked chicken
breast
8 frozen ricotta raviolis
1 teas of garlic
½ of a small onion
1 can of whole tomatoes
Buffalo Wing Sauce
Italian Seasonings
Mozzarella
Directions:
I didn’t use butter or
oil in the pan to save on the calories and it worked fine without.
In the pan I put the garlic and onion.
Once the onions began to
brow a little I added the can of tomatoes. Because I used whole tomatoes I did
slice each tomato into thirds
I then added the ravioli
and seasonings.
Next I cut up the
chicken into pieces and tossed it in the wing sauce. I didn’t want to overwhelm
the dinner with the bbq sauce and this seemed to be the ideal way to blend
everything together.
Once the raviolis were
soft I added the mozzarella and it was done.
I tasted the meal and it
had a sweet and tangy flavor and tasted just like you would expect it to taste.
This was easy and will
make a delicious meal tonight with perhaps some salad on the side if I want a
little more for dinner.
