FAMOUS REUBEN SANDWICH
& German Potato Salad
Today I am making a
Reuben Salad for dinner with a side of German Potato Salad from my left over
corn beef from St. Patrick’s day.
The German potato salad
is easy its Reads German Potato Salad and the seeded rye bread is from Price
Chopper that I was lucky enough to find marked down.
The rest of the ingredients
I already had on hand.
Below is how to make
these sandwiches.
FAMOUS REUBEN SANDWICH
Ingredients
:
1/2 cup drained
sauerkraut
1/4 teaspoon caraway or
dill seed
1/4 teaspoon garlic
powder
4 slices rye bread
1/4 cup Russian dressing
1/4 pound thinly sliced corned beef
1/4 pound sliced Swiss cheese
melted butter
Directions
:
Toss sauerkraut with
caraway seed and garlic powder and set aside.
Spread bread with
Russian dressing.
Over 8 slices bread,
layer the corned beef, kraut, cheese and top with a slice of bread.
Brush melted butter on
both sides of sandwiches.
Grill in skillet. panini press, George Forman Grill until cheese
has melted.
Makes 2 sandwiches.
This is so easy to make and enjoyable!
