Mini Shepherd’s Pies
The
other day I made a turkey dinner and made too many mashed potatoes so I wanted
to find a recipe that I could use some of them in.
I
found a recipe for Shepherd’s Pie that sounded good to me but I had to make
some changes. To simplify and to make affordable.
I
really think you will enjoy these little Shepherd pies.
Here
is the recipe for them:
Mini Shepherd’s Pies
Ingredients:
·
Mashed potatoes*(about a cup
full) Use fresh or instant
·
1/2 lb ground beef
·
1 tsp steak seasoning
·
1 Tbsp ketchup
·
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
·
1/3 cup frozen peas,
·
1 can (8 oz) generic pop and open rolls
Directions:
1.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Heat a large nonstick frying pan
over medium-high heat then add olive oil and ground beef. Add steak seasoning
then cook, occasionally using a spoon to break up meat, until browned.
3.
Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and frozen vegetables then cook 2-3
minutes until heated through. Taste for seasoning and add salt or pepper as
necessary. Remove from heat and set aside.
4.
Open rolls and flatten the rolls and fill with 1-2 tablespoons of beef
filling then top with a spoonful of mashed potatoes
5.
Bake in oven 15-20 minutes until dough is golden brown. Cool 5 minutes
then serve.
