Cool Delicious Smoothies

It has been  a rough winter and it seems thats spring will never get here. I don't know about you, but I am tired of oatmeal and cold weather. When spring finally gets here to stay then a  cool nutritious and refreshing  beverage to start the day sounds just right.
So we will be looking for refreshing smoothies to enjoy.
Below you will find some of my favorites the only thing  I do differently is I add flax seed to all of them its up to you if you do. I add it because flax is so good for me.  
The first two smoothies are my go to summer breakfast smoothies.

Crunchy Smoothie

1 banana

1 cup milk

1 ½ tbsp honey

½ cup granola

4 teaspoons flaxseeds

 frozen banana


Directions:

Blend in your blender and enjoy!


Banana Granola & Strawberry Smoothie

1 banana

5 strawberries - pull the tops off

1 ½ milk

1 cup yogurt

½ cup granola

4 teaspoons flaxseeds

½ tbsp honey


Directions:


Blend in your blender and enjoy



Creamy Strawberry Smoothie

1 ripe banana
1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries (10-oz. package)
3/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt
2 tablespoons honey

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.

Strawberry Soy Smoothie

1 ripe banana
2 cups frozen strawberries (8 ounces)
1 cup soy milk
2 tablespoons honey

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. 

Orange-Berry Smoothie

2 navel oranges, peel and pith removed, cut into chunks
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen raspberries

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. 

Blueberry and Green Tea Smoothie

1/2 cup frozen blueberries 
2 cups green tea, room temperature
1 tablespoon agave nectar

1. Divide blueberries between compartments of an ice cube tray. Fill with green tea and freeze. 
2. Puree in blender with remaining green tea

Creamy Strawberry Smoothie

1 ripe banana
1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries (10-oz. package)
3/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt
2 tablespoons honey

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.

Blueberry-Flax Smoothie

1 ripe banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup low-fat plain yogurt
4 teaspoons flaxseeds
1 tablespoon honey

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.

Don't let some of the ingredients that are combine in some of these smooties turn you off.
They are really delicious when combined.
