I love pork so this sandwich is bound to become a favorite in my home.
It is easy to make and is so good and satisfying.

Grilled Cuban Pork Pressed Sandwiches

Ingredients
•        1 boneless pork chop or boneless spare rib cut crosswise into slices
•        2 tablespoons olive oil-and-vinegar dressing
•        1 teaspoons grated lime peel
•        1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves (use fresh if you are growing some as I am_
•        1 slices (1 oz each) provolone cheese (from deli)
•        1   soft Kaiser Roll, split
•        2 thin slices (1 oz each) baked ham (from deli)
•        1 tablespoon yellow mustard
•        1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
Directions

1 between pieces of plastic wrap, gently pound pork with flat side of meat mallet until very thin. Place in glass baking dish. In small bowl, mix dressing, lime peel and oregano. Spread over pork; turn pork to coat. Let stand while heating contact grill.

2 Heat closed George Forman grill or bbq grill for 5 minutes.
Position drip tray to catch drippings.
 Place pork on grill.
Close grill; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until no longer pink in center.
          3. Meanwhile, place cheese on cut sides of roll bottoms; top with ham, pleating to fit. Spread mustard and pickle relish on cut sides of bun tops. Place grilled pork on ham; place roll tops, relish sides down, on pork. Press down firmly on tops of sandwiches (sandwiches are thick).
          4. Carefully wipe off grill plates; spray with cooking spray. Place sandwiches on grill.
Carefully close grill so tops of rolls don’t slip off sandwiches. Gently press top of grill until sandwiches are compressed.
Cook 3 to 4 minutes or until rolls are toasted and cheese is melted.

This is easier cooked on a George Forman grill but if you are a diehard bbq user then use the grill outside it will just be a little more difficult but will be delicious!
If you don’t have the pork chop or rib on hand then go to the deli and buy two thick slices of roasted pork from the deli when you buy the ham and the cheese.
If you have some ham frozen in the freezer use that. I like to use my own home sliced pork for these sandwiches, but then I always have ham and pork in the freezer.
Last week when I went shopping at Wal-Mart for some groceries I found that in the specialty bread are they are now carrying King Hawaiian rolls. Not just dinner rolls but small sub rolls as well. Since these are my favorite rolls I will use the small sub roll instead of the Kaiser roll. Use what you like no matter what you will love this  appetite satisfying Cuban sandwich!
Serve with a big deli dill pickle and a cup of soup to complete this meal.
