Bamboo Shoots with Ground Pork Recipe & Wine
Summer is hear and I
crave pork. Ok Ok I know I always crave pork!
Anyway I wanted to find
something new and different and I came across a couple of recipes that appealed
to me.
I then made up my own
version and this is what I came up with:
Bamboo Shoots with Ground Pork Recipe & Wine
Ingredients
½ pound ground pork
½ tablespoon corn starch
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
11/2 teaspoons of garlic
1 can of bamboo shoots fresh bamboo
½ teaspoon minced fresh ginger or dried
½ tablespoon Shaoxing wine (sweet white wine or
grape juice)
1 teaspoon sugar
Directions
Mix pork, cornstarch and
3 tablespoons soy sauce. Set aside.
Heat oil in large pan over high heat. Add garlic
and saute until fragrant. Add pork mixture. Stir fry until no longer
pink. Remove from pan.
In same pan, heat 1
tablespoon oil. Add bamboo shoots, turn heat to medium-high, and sauté
for approximately 5 minutes. Add ginger, wine, 2 tablespoons soy sauce
and sugar. Stir to coat bamboo.
Return pork to
pan. Cook together another 2 minutes or until heated through.Serve with
rice and enjoy.
Makes 2 servings
This is really good with
brown rice made with vegetable broth you can get at the dollar tree.
I also like serving a
fresh fruit salad with this meal.
If you like pork and
would like a new and different way of serving it give this recipe a try. I am
sure you will find this to be a great meal for a change.
Enjoy!
