Vodka Steak

Vodka Steak

This is a delicious dinner and perfect for a Sunday when you can grill your steak outside.
The original recipe called for two types of peppers but right now the red and the yellow peppers are too expensive and a nice green pepper will do just fine. The recipe also called for heavy cream. If you think you have other uses for it then get the heavy cream. You can buy a ½ pint for very little. I myself prefer half and half. I find a lot more uses for it including for coffee.
This dinner will include the steak, pasta, and even desert.
The desert is so good and so tasty as well as good for you!
Here is what we will make;

Vodka Steak

1 serving angel hair pasta
Vodka sauce:
1/2 marinara sauce (buy ready made)
1/2 cup heavy cream ( I prefer half and half it has  more uses0

1.    Steak: Grill steak to temperature of choice.
2.   Saute peppers and onion with Merlot.
3.   Season with salt and pepper to taste and top the steak with onions and peppers.
4.   Sauce: Blend marinara sauce with heavy cream.
5.   Heat and reduce.
6.    Add vodka and reduce again.
7.    Incorporate sauce into angel hair pasta.
8.   Place steak on angel hair pasta with more sauce.

Desert:

Take out a wine glass and fill with blueberries next pour the cream over the berries  that have been sweetened with a couple teaspoons of sugar  and place the glass in the freezer.
You’re done! It’s that easy to make!

Once again a great meal and a very affordable price.
