Easy Oven -Baked Chicken
Do
you enjoy crispy oven baked chicken? But I bet you don’t enjoy the work
involved and the solution we usually resort to of Shake & Bake which is not that appealing either?
Don't worry of course I have a simple and cost effictive solution.
Here
is one that I have used for years using dear old
Bisquick.
I think Biquick should hire me lol.
Anyway below is the recipe:
Easy Oven -Baked Chicken
Ingredients:
1
tablespoon butter or margarine
1/3
cup Original Bisquick mix
3/4
teaspoons paprika
1
teaspoons salt
1/8
teaspoon pepper
1/2
teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning
1/4
teaspoon of fennel
1/2
cut-up whole chicken
Directions:

Heat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches, in
oven.

Stir together Bisquick, paprika, salt and pepper; coat chicken.
Place skin sides down in dish (dish and butter should be hot).

Bake 35 minutes; turn chicken. Bake about 15 minutes longer or until juice is
no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
I
hope you enjoy the chicken. I prefer boneless chicken breast but use what you
enjoy most. If you do use the boneless chicken please check the chicken in twenty minutes since you are not dealing with bones it will take half the time.
This
is a great Sunday dinner or anytime.
Get
creative and use your own favorite spices, maybe try Old Bay instead of the Italian seasoning.
Served
with corn and mashed potatoes it will become a tradition in your home as it did
mine.
