Pork, Apples & Gravy

Pork, Apples,& Gravy

It is a cool fall day and a perfect day for pork chops.
So it was time to get creative an use what I had on hand to make a satisfying meal.
I took out two pork chops an started browning them in a little butter and cider.
Meanwhile I took a few apples an chopped them up then mixed them with cider, syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon  and nutmeg.
I decided to make the meal in the crock pot and checked the internet to make sure the right way to stack the pot for optimum flavor.
Here is what I did:

Ingredients:

Pork Chops

2 pork chops
1/2 cup cider
1 teas of butter
3 small apples
syrup
cinnamon
nutmeg

Gravy

Juice from crock pot
1 teas sour cream

Directions:

brown pork chops in the butter and  a little of cider.

Meanwhile chop the apples into large chunks (don't peel)
toss with a little pancake syrup, balance of cider, then
sprinkle with cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Once the pork chops are browned place apple mixture in the crock pot then top with pork chops and the dripping from the pan.
cover and cook on low for about four hours.
When the pork chops are read make a gravy.
Make a rue  from flour an butter. When the rue is starting to turn light brown add the drippings and sour cream.
Whisk until smooth and thick.
Spoon over pork chops and serve with the apples on the side and some fresh green beans.
