Affordable PIzza Spaghetti Casserole

Affordable PIzza Spaghetti Casserole

My friend Barbara posted a recipe for spaghetti casserole that sounded good but I had to do some conversion to make the recipe the right size and affordable.
Here is the recipe I came up with that will cost .75 cents a meal.

Affordable PIzza Spaghetti Casserole

 Ingredients:

1/2 lb. Ground meat (it can be ground beef, chicken, pork, or sausage)
8oz. box uncooked rontoini noodles
 ½ teaspoon  sea salt
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
 ½ teaspoon garlic
 1/4 Cup Milk
 1 Egg
 2 ounces sliced pepperoni
1 small jar pasta sauce
1 small  can diced Italian style tomatoes
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese 4 ounces package shredded Italian cheese blend
Any other pizza toppings, you can add like Black olives, sausage, onions, green peppers, etc...

Directions:
Boil water & salt for Spaghetti noodles, once it starts boiling, add noodles.
Brown meat in a separate frying pan. I added chopped onion, fennel , and garlic
Once noodles are cooked, drain and put in a casserole dish. I used an 8" cake pan.
In a separate bowl, combine milk & egg & whisk.
Pour over pasta & add jar of sauce, can of tomatoes, Italian seasoning. If you don't have tomatoes don't worry about it. Use a jar of sauce with vegetables. That is what I did and never missed the tomatoes.
. Mix all together well.
 On top of pasta mixture
then add a layer of pepperoni's
then a layer the ground meat
then again add a layer of pepperoni's
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, & Italian cheese.
The idea is to make this the way you enjoy your pizza and it saves calories.
Bake in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes.
Half way through cover with a piece of foil so the meat does not get over done.
Then serve and enjoy!
