Pork Chops With Cranberries And Fruit
Today I was in the mood for
pork and I knew I had some boneless pork chops in the freezer but with no kitchen sink I don’t like to do much cooking on top of the stove because of the clean up involved.
My craving was not to be denied. So I pulled out one boneless pork chop and looked at recipes and what I had on hand.
After I planned out how it was
going to be done and what I was going to use in this recipe I came up with:
Pork Chops With Cranberries And Fruit
Ingredients:
1 boneless pork chop
¼ can cranberries
2 mini nectarines
1 apple
Brown sugar
Sea salt
Fresh ground pepper
Directions:
Use a small skillet that has
a little oil in the bottom and heat the oil until it sizzles
Meanwhile rub the pork with sea salt and
fresh ground pepper and then add to pan brown while you are preparing the sauce
Next heat up the cranberry sauce so it can be whisked
When heated add the juice from one nectarine, about a tablespoon of brown sugar
and whisk and then pour over the browned pork.
Add one sliced up apple with the skin on and one nectarine both quartered.
Then move the pan with the pork in it back to the burner that you can simmer on and allow to cook
until the pork cooked and the apple is soft.
Serve with a green vegetable and enjoy!
