                                                     Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

I have had a  couple of hungry days and wanted something filling and satisfying that also had the nutrition as  factor so I went on line for inspiration and found this it sounded good and now is   cooking in my slow  cooker as  I write this.
Below is the recipe:

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 lb lean ground beef or ground turkey

1 packet onion soup mix

2 tsp garlic powder (garlic chopped if you don't have powder)

1/4 lb fresh button mushrooms, thinly sliced if you don't have mushrooms us a half of an onion
 cups of water
1/2 Tbsp Steak Sauce

serve with hot mashed potatoes, for serving. Don't forget when you are mashing the potatoes to add sm flax seed.No it will not flavor it and it will add some extra nutrition to your meal.

DIRECTIONS:

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. I used a liner I don't like the clean up personally

In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion soup mix and garlic powder.

Form into 2 large hamburger patties and place them in the insert

In a separate large bowl, combine the mushrooms, broth and steak sauce

Pour the mushroom mixture evenly over the top of the meat patties

Cover, and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours (or on high for 3 to 4 hours).

Serve with mashed potatoes.

I put the slow cooker on high and it was done in time for lunch.
