ASIAN CHICKEN WITH ORANGE SAUCE
Today I had to go to Walmart to get cat food and while I was there I decided to try a couple pieces of orange chicken and really liked it and when I got home decided to make it for dinner.
It was pretty easy and inexpensive to make.
Here is the recipe:
CHICKEN WITH ORANGE SAUCE
1/2 lb.Tyson chicken (you choose if you want the fried or not fried)
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. chili sauce or I often use catsup
1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon of clove garlic, minced or prepared in jar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. cold water
Directions:
In baking dish arrange chicken pieces,
preheat the oven to 450
cook in oven for twenty minutes turning the chicken over after ten (this is only for the friend pieces the stips of non friend chicken just heat in the microwave for two minutes.
Sauce
Combine orange juice, chili sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, prepared mustard and garlic; pour over chicken. Microwave at 7 power for 10 to `12 minutes Remove to serving plate and cover.
Blend cornstarch and cold water. Stir into hot cooking liquid. Microwave at high for 2-3 minutes or until thickened. Serve with the chicken.
Serve this over rice and enjoy!
