The other day I made wine cookies to use up some of the supplies in my pantry. Today I decided to use up the wine and a second half of a box of pasta.
I found some olive oil and came up with a plan and made pasta with wine and, olives.
Here is what I did;
Ingredients:
1/2 box of pasta broke up
tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 cup of white wine
5 or 6 olives
1 tablespoon capers
1/2 cup of chicken broth
1 tablespoon of garlic
Sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
Directions:
1. boil pasta until almost done then remove from heat and drain.
2. In a fry pan add some butter and flour to start a basic rue.
3. Once the rue is done start adding the chicken broth, and wine.
4. When you get to a thickness you like add garlic, olives, and pasta.
blend together for a few minutes until heated though.
It is ready to serve alone or with meatballs.
