Tempura Fried Peppers

Tempura Fried Peppers

I was only going to post once this week because I am so busy packing and getting ready to move.
But yesterday I got an email about easy things to make for dad.
I was curious so I checked out what they suggested.
They make this recipe too complicated so of course I did make it easier and it was so good!
In fact I am sitting here and eating it now. I will put some away for later when I make my steak on the grill.
Here is what I did:
First I cut up some peppers I used bell, banana, and jalapenos. Use what ever peppers you like or have on hand.
I took out a small bowl I used a cool whip bowl I had recycled for storage.
First I poured some Bisquick into the bowl.
I just eyeballed it just figuring how much I would need for the peppers I cut up.
Next I sprinkled some salt to bring out the flavor
Then the dad part I am told I poured some beer into the Bisquick until I had a thick batter.
I heated some oil in a small pan and when the oil was hot I deep fried the peppers.
It takes about three minutes for the tempura to cook to cook through.
Then take out the peppers from the oil and drain on a paper towel sprinkle with salt and allow to sit for a few minutes.
What ever sauce you use for fried onions use for these peppers.
I like fried onions but I like these peppers even better. Much more flavor.
Thats it its done!
Now sit back and enjoy.
