Dump Dinner: Smothered Pork Chops & Rice

Dump Dinner: Smothered Pork Chops & Rice

After I moved here I decided to order the dump dinner/dump desert from a TV Ad.
I can tell you I am disappointed in the dump dinners there is an average amount of work involved in preparing these dinners.
I did find some that sounded good and made the first one last night for dinner.
I put my twist on it first of course.
Most recipes call for more ingredients than one or two people need. I also in the meal did not like one of the ingredients and switched out what I used.
It turned out great!
Here is my version of this first dump dinner:

Smothered Pork Chops & Rice

Ingredients:

2 pork chops
1 can of cream of chicken/celery/or mushroom soup
1/2 package of onion soup mix/ or two teaspoon of bullion
1 cup of peas
1 cup of water
1 cup of rice (not instant)

Directions:

Heat oven to 375 degrees
Combine all the ingredients  except for pork chops.
Mix well
Then top the rice mixture with pork chops
bake for one hour and serve.

This was very easy and something I will make again.
I did bake two pork chops but wish I had made four.
I ended up with only one half of a pork chop.
The cats decided this meal was irresistible!
Yes they are spoiled.
What I used was cream of chicken soup because I plan on getting some boneless chicken breasts and what I had left of the rice and peas will be great with this chicken!
I also use two teaspoons of chicken bullion.
I added strawberry apple sauce to complete my dinner.
It turned out great and yes I will make this meal again.
I know you will enjoy this dinner!
