Cherry Vanilla Pecan Bunt Cake
Today I decided to make this bunt cake. The orginal recipe was good but I wanted to add to it and make it my own.
This is what I came up with.:
Cherry Vanilla Pecan Bunt Cake
Ingredients:
1 white cake mix (I prefer Betty Crocker you use what you like best)
3 eggs
1/2 cup of oil (I used peanut oil I find it to have a clean taste)
1 can of cherry pie filling
1/2 cup pecans crushed
2 tablespoons of flax seed
****You don't have to use the flax seed but I do. I used it in everything I can. It had done amazing things for me. The other benefit is it makes your cakes, pancakes or anything like that fluffy and high!
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together
Spray the bunt pan and dust with flour. The flour insures that the cake comes out of the pan easily.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
While the cake is baking make a frosting.
I only let the cake sit for about five minutes before I turn the pan upside down on a plate. Comes out easily every time when I flour the pan.
While the cake is still hot I dribble the frosting over the cake and it looks bakery made every time!
Use what ever frosting you want. For a cake like this I go to the basics and make a butter sugar frosting like this one. But you use what ever frosting you want or don't use any at along.
This cake is so rich you may want to skip the frosting.
I keep it simple just a cup of powered sugar, two tablespoons of butter, and a cap full of vanilla.
This turned out so good! Let me warn you though this cake is decadent!
So be warned and jump in and enjoy!
