: Microwave Brownies

Microwave Brownies

Today people today use the micowave more than their ovens so I though I would post a treat from my favorite cook book.
When I bought the book I though I was doing the school a favor  instead they were doing me one because I have found interesting and delicious recipes in this book.
It was from the Glebe  Street School PTA in Johnstown, NY.
Here is what I am sharing today:

Microwave Brownies

Ingredients:

1 box (1 pound) powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup minus i teaspoon of milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla
1/2 cup of butter or margarine

Directions:

In a 1 1/2 quart microwavable casserole  stir together sugar, cocoa, salt, milk, and vanilla until partially blended.
Put butter or margarine over the top in the center of dish.
Microwave on high power 2 minutes.
Stir well until smooth.
Pour into a greased 8" square dish.
Chill about 1 hour.
Makes about 36 squares

Then enjoy!
