Tomorrow is Easter and when it comes to holidays I am very traditional but like to spend time with friends more that taking all day in the kitchen.
I always cook a ham and homemade scalloped potatoes.
Scalloped potatoes can take time and often don't turn out as we would like them to.
This recipe is easy and fast and will provide all that flavor you were hoping to fine.
Here is how to make this recipe:
4 cups thinly sliced & peeled potatoes
1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon butter
1cans Cream of Mushroom soup
1/8 cup milk
1 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 teas pepper
paprika, to taste.
Directions:
Combine soup, milk and pepper in a bowl
. In a 13 X 9-inch baking dish, arrange two alternate layers of potatoes, onions, cheese and soup mixture
. Top with pieces of butter.
Sprinkle paprika on top
. Cover with foil.
Bake at 375°F for approximately 1 hour or until potatoes reach desired texture.
Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
Serve with your ham and enjoy!
