Quick & Easy Turkey Gravy

I've been listening to the Food Network  for tips on making some of the holiday food easier.
This one made a lot of sense.
You know whatever you can make the day before Thanksgiving makes life easier and  gives you more time to spend with your family on the big day.

This is a recipe for the turkey gravy.

Turkey Gravy

The day before Thanksgiving make a roux.

1 cup of flour
1 cup of butter

Instructions:

If you have never made a roux before
It's really easy.
First melted butter then the flour.
The trick is to keep whisking it do not stop!
When the color is that of brown butter you're ready for the next step.
Add 2 cups of broth. If you don't have broth then add 2 cups of water and two teaspoons of bouillon either chicken or vegetable.
Whisk together over a medium heat.

Stir often and when thickened remove from the Heat and store in the refrigerator until the next day.

After you have made your turkey add the chicken gravy you made the day before to a pan to reheat and then  add the turkey drippings from the pan.
It will  reduce to turkey  gravy.
If for some reason it does not thicken enough for you then add a little bit more flour, just a tiny bit at a time and whisk it together until it has dissolved into the turkey gravy. At the very most perhaps another tablespoon full of flour.

If when you're done and  the flour has not completely dissolved a little trick is put the gravy into a blender and it will smooth out the grade for you.

☆☆☆ All my friends think my turkey is the most juicy they have ever had.
It's never dry another simple and easy trick for a juicy turkey.
While  the turkey is cooking I use an inexpensive food injector it looks like a needle and I inject the juices back in the turkey as it's cooking.
It works every time.

If you decide to buy one of these injectors don't worry you will use it. on other things  well. I think we all know how do I park or a pork roast can get.
Use the same trick on pork inject the juices from the park is your cooking it and you will once again have a juicy pork roast instead of a dry one with no flavor.
I hope these things help.
