Old Fashioned Italian Meatballs

This is the end of the month and I need to clean out the fridge and use up some things in the freezer. I need to make room for the things I will be buying for the month.

I decided to make meatballs.

I  made some old  fashioned Roman style meatballs.

Rome style meatballs are the traditional style that most people are familiar with . I usually  make Corsican Italian food.  Corsica is at the boot of Italy and a combination of French and Italian.

Old Fashioned Italian Meatballs

Ingredients:

1 lb. Ground beef

1/4 cup green peppers chopped

1/4 cup onions or onion flakes.

1/2 cup of Italian bread crumbs

1/4 cup. spaghetti sauce or paste(instead of milk)

1 egg

I cup Parmesan cheese ( I use shredded Italian cheese)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

sea salt and pepper to taste.

Directions:

1. Preheat over to 400 degrees

2. combine all the ingredients

3. scoop onto a cookie sheet with ice cream scoop

4. Place in oven and cook for 40 minutes

cover after 20 minutes to keep the meat balls from
getting too brown.

These will be loaded with flavor and if you love traditional Italian food you will

The meatballs have a wonderful rich flavor.
